We kicked off the project with collaborative workshops, which lead to working closely alongside the Luno design team. While our involvement began with minor UI and UX improvements to their existing app, we were later given the task of redesigning the experience with a fresh look following Google’s Material Design Guidelines.
The redesign of the Android and iOS apps involved re-thinking the entire user experience. We introduced new concepts and features to increase the apps’ efficiency. A significant part of the redesign was the adoption of Material’s card-based system. We made use of fun illustrations, bright colours and crafted typography to display content and data.
Formerly known as BitX, Luno’s rebrand was a pivotal moment for the company. The change was essential to better reflect where they were heading as they set out to educate the world on the future of money. The Luno website launch was the first reveal of their new brand look and feel. We incorporated space-themed UI and iconology throughout their learning materials.
